Introducing Centpkg (Comments requested)

Greetings everyone, I spent a little bit of time to see if pyrpkg (https://fedorahosted.org/rpkg/) could help with the "building RPMS from a git repo" workflow. Pyrpkg includes methods that can interact with git (cloning, downloading sources etc), koji, and the local mock/rpmbuild build processes among other things. You may know pyrpkg better as the backend for fedpkg in Fedora. I have a very bare-bones configuration at https://bitbucket.org/bstinsonmhk/centpkg that I thought I would share. Is the community interested in such a tool? If so I'm happy to keep working on it, perhaps with the help of others who are interested? Cheers! C7 - yum groupinstall broken?

Hi all, Using build x86_64-20140630 (and previous [Grrr, I've just noticed x86_64-20140702, I'll try that once I've got it down]), I can do a "yum -v grouplist" and get what looks like the correct output, but when I try installing one of the groups, the following happens - %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% [root@maintsas ~]# yum groupinstall scientific Loaded plugins: fastestmirror There is no installed groups file. Maybe run: yum groups mark convert (see man yum) base | 3.6 kB 00:00:00 epel | 3.7 kB 00:00:00 Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile Warning: Group scientific does not have any packages to install. Maybe run: yum groups mark install (see man yum) No packages in any requested group available to install or update %%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%%% I'm fairly sure this shouldn't be happening :) -- Cheers! el7_0 as dist tag (release mismatch in koji)

Dear All, I'm trying to recompile RHEL packages to i686. Some RHEL source packages has the dist tag el7_0 in it. How do you handle it, when recompiling? Do you keep it by redefining the dist macro? The spec file contains %{dist}, which comes from the /etc/rpm/macros.dist. It contains el7 on RHEL installations. How should I avoid release mismatch in koji? Thank you, Peter Bojtos
