#0010838: support for RHEL's 7Server in centos-release-scl

I'm trying to get ticket #0010838 fixed[1] which would allow centos-release-scl (and -rh) to be used unaltered on RHEL to access the SCLo SIG's repositories. Not all RHELs have the upstream RHSCL repos, and there are additional collections published by the SIG that are useful. In the Foreman project I'd like to mirror this RPM to provide centos-release-scl for all EL users during installation to get access to SCLo builds and rebuilds. I'm aware of the RHEL centos-release-sclo builds in Copr[2], but they remove centos-release-rh and I'm trying to ensure the same RPMs can be used on all EL builds. The baseurl in the package is http://mirror.centos.org/centos/$releasever/sclo/$basearch/sclo/, which on RHEL Server expands to .../centos/7Server/sclo/. Only the "7" directory exists on the mirror. Either the mirror could contain symlinks for 7Server -> 7, or the release repo file[3] could be built with the URL hardcoded without using $releasever, which was suggested in today's CBS IRC meeting. Does anybody have any strong preference? If not, I'd like to suggest we change the release repo file. missing important EL6 patch for qemu CVE-2016-3710 ?

Hi, I saw no announcement on centos-announce for this: https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2016-0997.html has it fallen through the cracks somehow? I find the corresponding update for EL7, but not for EL6. It would be nice if someone could investigate this. I also didn't find the necessary versions on my local mirror synced, e.g.: qemu-kvm-0.12.1.2-2.491.el6_8.1.x86_64.rpm Is this due to the work done in preparation for EL 6.8 release? But I also do not find any CR repo yet. where do I request a config option to the CentOS-plus kernel? (9pfs)

All- I'd like the maintainers of the CentOSplus kernel to enable the CONFIG_NET_9P_RDMA, CONFIG_9P_FSCACHE, and CONFIG_9P_FS_POSIX_ACL config options. How do I ask for that? Bugzilla? Thank you Hans

Hi guys, we would like to chat abu the different possibilities of SCL Prefixes: /opt/centos /opt/centos-sig-configmgt /opt/centos/sig-configmgt /opt/centos/sig-configmgt-hiera44 /opt/centos-sig-configmgt/hiera44 /opt/centos/sig-configmgt/hiera44 What is your opinion about this? My preference would go to /opt/centos/sig-configmgt-ruby22. Please remember that ze do not plan to expose that to users (e.g puppet will be installed in /usr, not in a SCL). Should we not have these mails on a centos-customs/centos-customs-devel list? anjuta crash when open UI file

Hello Everyone, While I poke today on totem, anjuta crash on open preferences.ui. glade = 3.15 I downgrade glade to version 3.14.3. Now it works as expected. http://centos.cms4all.org/centos/7/other/SRPMS/glade-3.14.3-6.el7.centos.sr… fixed to compile man pages. Sincerely Andy

[Config Management SIG] Ansible version(s)

Hi, The main Ceph Jewel installer is based on Ansible, so the Ceph part of the Storage SIG would like to be a consumer of the Config Management SIG Ansible bits. However, Ceph upstream has confirmed: * 1.9.4 and 2.0.0.1 are 100% compatible * 2.1 should work (but is quite probably not tested at all) This raises the following questions: * would any member of the Config Management SIG be interested in building and maintaining either 1.9.4 or 2.0.0.1 for the Storage SIG? * if not, would the Config Management SIG be open to let Storage SIG members maintain an Ansible 2.0 branch? PXE boot images

I have a number of systems which PXE boot and mount and NFS-based root. These boot using the files provided here: http://mirror.centos.org/centos/7.2.1511/os/x86_64/images/pxeboot/ However, these seem to contain an old kernel (3.10.0-327.el7.x86_64) instead of any later one released as part of CentOS 7. Two questions: 1. Are new pxeboot images going to be released? 2. If not, how can new ones be created?
