CERN Dojo: Volunteers needed to help select schedule

As you may know, we're planning a Dojo at CERN in October. (Details at http://cern.ch/centos ) I need 4 or 5 people to vote on our schedule. I hope to publish a schedule by the end of next week. So, if you are planning to go, and are willing to volunteer to read some session abstracts, please let me know by the end of this week. [CentOS PaaS SIG]: Origin v3.10 rpms available for testing

Hi, We would like to announce that Origin v3.10 rpms are available for testing at [1]. As such we are calling for help from community to start testing and let us know if there are issues with the rpms and its dependencies. Documentation help requested (Re: Upgrading from 6 to 7)

Hi, folks, I was hoping that someone with more knowledge than I about the 6 -> 7 upgrade process would have a look at https://wiki.centos.org/TipsAndTricks/CentOSUpgradeTool The page starts with a vague warning, and then continues to give detailed instructions, leaving it very unclear which parts the warning refers to. If the process is broken, let's remove all of this and point to the correct process. If only a part of the process is broken, we need to remove that from the doc, and drop the scary warning. As it is, the page *appears* to be a "don't do it this way" kind of page, and, as you know, 90% of people will simply skip past the warning and cut-paste the instructions. Using meetbot commands in your SIG meetings

A reminder, as we head into August: If you will use the meetbot commands in your IRC SIG meetings (especially #info, #agreed, and #help - full command documentation is here - https://wiki.debian.org/MeetBot ) this will greatly simplify going back and extracting monthly summaries from your meeting minutes (published here - https://www.centos.org/minutes/2018/July/ ) and turning them into blog posts, tweets, and the monthly newsletter. Remember that your SIG meeting is not *just* for you, but is also one of the ways that you "report" back to the larger community what you've been working on. [altarch][ppc64le] Packages needed for Triple O Container Builds

Hello all, We've been trying to enable tripleo container builds in the centos rdo community and quickly ran into some problematic RPMs. Specifically, centos-release-ceph-luminous and centos-release-opstools. They were problematic for altarch but have recently been patched to work with the $contentdir var. I set up a test to see how they install, linked below [0][1], and found that centos-release-storage-common would also be needed. Adding that seemed to allow everything to install properly. The test also installs ceph, as the centos-release-ceph-luminous package just enables a repo. If you would like any more testing to be done here please let me know, I'd be happy to help move this along.
