Hi all,
As you probably noticed in the last weeks/months, we have a stronger
collaboration and synergy with the Fedora infrastructure team. Combining
forces and resources help both projects at the same time, as majority of
the CentOS contributors are already Fedora contributors and probably the
same in reverse.
It's not a secret (it was announced through CPE weekly mails on this
list) that the CentOS board approved the idea of merging authentication
systems in a near future (as an example).
This email to let you know that all RFE/issues concerning the following
areas should be reported to a new issues tracker :
https://pagure.io/centos-infra/issues/ , to adapt the same workflow as
the Fedora infra team is already using. ( see
https://docs.fedoraproject.org/en-US/cpe/working_with_us/ )
Concerned areas :
- https://cbs.centos.org (Community BuildSystem, aka koji)
- Special Interest Groups requests (for mirror, resources, etc)
- https://ci.centos.org (All CI infra ecosystem)
- Everything around CentOS Infra (mirror issues, etc)
We have already moved/migrated for example the (opened) tickets that
were filed under the "Buildsys" , "CI" and "Infrastructure" categories
to the new issues tracker. The idea being to *not* request work to be
done through IRC but rather through new infra issues tracker.
Imported tickets will be discussed there and worked on (reviewed on a
daily basis) after having been prioritized
Should you feel a need to discuss this new process, feel free to do so
in #centos-devel on irc.freenode.net or on this centos-devel list.
Kind Regards,

Hi all,
I need sources for latest Centos 8.2 kernel (kernel-4.18.0-193.14.2.el8_2).
Since they are (now customarily) not available on vault.centos.org, I am attempting to build from git.centos.org.
However, I am unable to find the exact commit to build from.
On https://git.centos.org/rpms/kernel/commits/c8, I see 13.2 and 14.3, but not 14.2 that actually shipped.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

seems the updated pushed recently to centos stream (I updated about an
hour ago) now cause my pc to hang after BIOS...it never gets to grub
could this be the GRUB_ENABLE_BLSCFG issue that has come downstream
from fedora ?
any advice would be most greatly appreciated thanks
Hi,
RHEL has also kernel-4.18.0-193.13.2.el8 released.
Will this kernel also be released for CentOS [1]?
Its the "latest" kernel before the grub/shim updates and
I would like to test some issues with machines
that do not boot the -193- kernels ...
Thanks,
Leon

Hi, SIG members,
As you may be aware, the repo where your meeting schedules live is here:
git@github.com:CentOS/Calendar.git
The content there then gets generated into
https://www.centos.org/community/calendar/ and the associated ical file.
Many of the records in there are incorrect - either the meeting times,
or the SIG leader information, or both. Please have a look at the
generated page, and if your information is incorrect please either send
a PR to that git repo, or send me the information directly so that I can
correct it.
Thanks!

I set up #centos-meeting2 that can be used for IRC meetings in the event
that #centos-meeting is busy when you would like to hold a meeting.
This channel has the same configuration as #centos-meeting and I've added the
same config overrides as are in place in #centos-meeting so the guardbot
doesn't take action unnecessarily.
Meeting minutes will be processed identically to #centos-meeting and
will also be present at https://www.centos.org/minutes/

Hi,
Long-time user of CentOS 7 AMIs from the AWS Marketplace. I see that the
latest CentOS 7 and all CentOS 8 AMIs are only available outside of the
Marketplace ("These images are published outside of the AWS Market Place
and are shared directly" - https://wiki.centos.org/Cloud/AWS)
I'm really keen to understand if this is short-term situation, or if this
is the indefinite future of CentOS AMI releases? There were a number of
benefits to the Marketplace model - mainly for us is the ability to use
Packer to fetch the latest AMI for the product code, plus also
notifications. Are there reasons behind the recent change?
Many thanks,
Marc
