Hi, I have created the upstream patches for abrt and libreport for ABRT in CentOS 7.1. Patch '0001-fix-patch-libreport-centos-branding-changes.patch-fo.patch' fot libreport fixes a patch 'libreport-centos-branding-changes.patch'. Libreport cannot be compiled with the old version of this patch. Patch '0002-reporter-mantisbt-introduce-reporter-mantisbt.patch' for libreport ships the mantis reporter, required library and workflows. Patch '0001-reporter-mantisbt-changes-related-to-reporter-mantis.patch' for abrt sets URL to retrace server. Also ships some minor fixes. GSoC 2015 status, mentors, and a call for extra help

4 week Atomic Releases?

In conjunction with this Fedora Atomic thread: https://lists.fedoraproject.org/pipermail/cloud/2015-March/004976.html I'd like to continue discussion about CentOS Atomic and a move to a 4 week release cycle. I'm specifically targeting CentOS Atomic here, and as it turns out we are very close to doing this today with a new Atomic build being targeted roughly every Month by Ian. In the larger ecosystem, the development versions released in Fedora would be tested there for a bit and then drawn down to the CentOS Atomic image and released. We think we can move a bit faster in Atomic because of it's simple rollback function. Since the CentOS Atomic images are already so close to what is being proposed, this is likely to be a formalization of what is being done and better highlighting of the CentOS Atomic image on the projectatomic.io website. [openstack] Juno/EL6 clients

hi folks, Since this came up a few times, I've now added a small example on howto contribute to the centos sources to the bottom of this page : http://wiki.centos.org/Sources tldr: git clong <repo> git checkout c7 ( if you want centos7 sources ) (workout what the changeset is going to be, get_sources etc ) git checkout -b <newbranch> <do your work > git commit <more work> git commit git format-patch c7 ( to compare your work set to c7 branch ) : email the .patch files to the centos-devel list here, as attachments, ensure you have the spec file changelog updated as well in the patches. SCL and git 2.X

Hi all, I'm not sure I'm posting to the right place. If it's not I would be pleased if you could point me to the relevant place! TL;DR: I need recent version of git (2.3 ATM) and I need it on centos6 and centos7. For the time being, I managed to rebuild RH git19 scl for centos6 (last time I checked it was not already part of centos SCL but I might be wrong). My question is: is there other persons here interested by a recent, community supported, version of git ? and if yes, how can this be done (a SIG?) ? Hi, I'm a final year undergraduate student at Delhi Technological University,India. My branch is Software Engineering. I have a fair knowledge of Operating Systems theory. I find this area quite interesting and would like to gain practical knowledge in the same. My current experience in this area is limited to building the linux kernel from source and booting it on my laptop. Can you assign me an easy task so I could familiarise myself with the project??
