Linux NFSv4 Client (CentOS-5.3) kernel panic when running LTP

Hi, My NFS Client is CentOS5.3 (2.6.18) and server is SUSE11. When running LTP (ltp-full-20080930), the client crashed. the stack is below. (i run ths command on a centos system) so if centos just rebuild the same src.rpm then do not need to modify the package and the spec! (ok this pacakge won't be included in centos anyway, just an example) since in that case the buildhost and vendor changed because of the build system and the summary and other part will change "automagically" even if the spec file contains _hard coded_ "Red Hat". this can save same useless work.. just my 2c. -- Levente "Si vis pacem para bellum!"

tracking ABI changes in C/C++ libraries

Hello, Colleagues! The new service for tracking ABI changes in various C/C++ libraries is now available for Linux distribution maintainers and upstream developers - "Upstream Tracker". It may be helpful for analyzing risks of libraries updating in the CentOS and other systems. The service includes more than 100 libraries at the moment: OpenSSL, ALSA, glib, cairo, libssh, fontconfig etc. The service is freely available at: http://linuxtesting.org/upstream-tracker/ Suggestions for libraries inclusion and feature/bug requests are very welcome. Hello all, wouldn't a git repo be also good for security updates to quickly see the changes of all security updates going out? This wouldn't have to be a repo developers work from, but a "shadow read-only" repo that is generated automatically from the source rpm packages. The comments are purely mine, and intended as analysis, no intent whatsoever to offend anyone. 'yum-security' plugin and fasttrack respository for CentOS 5.4

Yesterday evening (Tuesday December 8, 2009) a forum thread [1] was started by Stefan (under the ID of "gigglesworth") relating to the above subjects. As is well known, ELRepo provided the fasttrack packages during the lifetime of CentOS 5.3 but following on from Karanbir's assertion that CentOS will provide the fasttrack packages for 5.4 we, at ELRepo, have stepped down from providing that service. Will CentOS-devs please have a look at the above mentioned thread and then respond, accordingly, to the OP. Regards, Alan. Web based Package DB

Hi, Didi and I met up yesterday afternoon and had a chat about creating a web interface to the centos repositories. Something along the lines of repoview, but a thicker, richer experience. So what features would everyone like to see from something like this ? We have a few ideas already, but it would be nice to get feedback on what people expect ( so we know how far off the mark we were :) ) We hope to resurrect the 'pandora' project as a side effect from this. - KB
