CentOS Release Timeline (Graphical Display)

Hi Guys, Following Dag's idea (May I Dag ?) of create a CentOS timeline graphical table ... here is a variation of it made last month. Maybe it could be used on http://wiki.centos.org/FAQ/General#head-fe8a0be91ee3e7dea812e8694491e1dde5b… as ilustration. It is a svg file with markers that could be included into our Artwork Building Environment to have it on different languages. Actually the "You are here" pointer is modified manually. Some way to automate this would be cool (IMO). james, thank you so much for your help. indeed, the problem is that /etc/blkid/blkid.tab still has the old ext3 entry. i changed TYPE to xfs and updated the uuid for /dev/sdb, and now it mounts fine with UUID. since i prefer UUID anyway, i did not test label, but assume it was the same issue. yes, we do use the entire device, which never had problems with other fs types, which mount seem to update blkid.tab automatically. still not sure why it did not do so for xfs, but as long as it works, i am happy. cn=John Shen,title=Sys. However, it appears that this only works if there is an entry for this file system in /etc/blkid/blkid.tab (that mount creates/updates) If I umount the file system, and then remove the line for /dev/sdb in /etc/blkid/blkid.tab - I then can't mount by LABEL or UUID - unless I previously mount by device ... This appears to be the case for ext3 as well as xfs ... Using a partition, then all works as expected. HPC Channel in CentOS

Hi Will CentOS be considering to roll out their own hpc channel, since Red Hat has announced it[1]? The SRPMS will be out soon. Since Platform OCS is 100% based on Project Kusu[2], I will be able to assist to help CentOS to have their own hpc channel. Is there an ETA on an updated kmod-xfs for the latest kernel? Looks like the package is still for the .10.el5 kernel. Thanks! J.

update w.r.t VM's for forums / portals testing

hi Guys, We were hoping to use a series of VM's hosted at flexiscale.com for doing this testing. However, it was just sheer bad luck for us that they decided to do some maintenance work starting the 26th Sept, which are still ongoing. But I am hopeful that they will be done by Monday the 6th. Fallout for us is that while this maint work is going at their end, we cant create any new VM's. This was totally not planned from our side, even the initial announcement that came through only said work would start on the 26th and be done in time for business hours 29th Sept. But it seems that they were unable to finish the work, and its still ongoing. kernel 2.6.18-92.1.10.el5.centos.plus kmod-xfs-0.4-1.2.6.18_92.1.10.el5.centos.plus xfsdump-2.2.46-1.el5.centos xfsprogs-2.9.4-1.el5.centos the kernel comes back with device not found when i tried label= and uuid=, after changing the fs from ext3 to xfs. with ext3 all 3 works fine, but with xfs only the device name is accepted. any advice is appreciated. cn=John Shen,title=Sys. options on voice conf calls

hi, We had a bit of a struggle with Skype today trying to get a few people talking about some infrastructure issues. And I was wondering if anyone had recommendations on what other options there might be ? Also, some people cant run VoIP / Skype from work so a normal telephone gateway would be nice to have as well. Did I mention people are located all over the world ? If isdn-30 is the same as E1-PRI then there are plenty of cards.
