anaconda and i18n

Hi all, Which config use by anaconda to update /etc/sysconfig/i18n? When selecting "ID" as the language choice, it update i18n file but with incorrect spelling: SYSFONT="latarcryheb-sun16" (should be cyrheb) causing lot of error message saying can not open file, when starting and shuting down the system. Running system-config-language fix this problem, however. Thanks! --beast

heartbeat-2.1.2.el5.centos is released for i386/x86_64 for both CentOS-4 and CentOS-5 in the Extras repository. We have been working very hard with the Linux-HA guys on this one. 'Correct' way to load snd-ioctl32 module?

I want to be able to run i386 applications on CentOS4 x86_64 boxes that use sound - for this to work the snd-ioctl32 kernel module needs to be loaded. This module isn't loaded by default by rc.sysinit, and I was just wondering if anyone knew the 'correct' way to get this module installed. I can get it to work by adding the following line to /etc/modprobe.conf: install snd /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install snd && \ /sbin/modprobe snd-ioctl32 This works fine - but is this an acceptable way to do this? Is there a better method? Thanks James Pearson

drbd dependency problem

Missing XFCE packages

Centos Plus Kernel and ATALK

Is it possible to activate ATALK in the newest Centosplus Kernel which will be delivered soon? :) Thx in Advance. nx-3.0.0 RPMS

There are some NX-3.0.0 RPMS that currently seem to work OK with the current freenx (0.6.0-13) backend (for centos-5). They do not do all the new things that nx-3.0 can do (we are waiting on a new freenx that does those things) ... however this version does compile on x86_64 (and there is also a version of freenx for x86_64 as well). Currently there is a symlink to /usr/lib/NX for 64bit OSes as well ... but that also should be cleared up when the new FreeNX is released. For anyone who wants native x86_64 support, these should be OK, at least for testing. Thanks, Johnny Hughes
