CentOS oVirt Guest Image test report

Hi, tested https://buildlogs.centos.org/centos/images/ovirt/CentOS-7-x86_64-oVirt-2019… and seems overall functional. The ovirt-guest-agent service is disabled. Pushed https://github.com/CentOS/sig-cloud-instance-build/pull/157 for fixing it, please review / merge. I think we can limit the release to the qcow2c image only. Maintenance window for UI of registry.centos.org

Hi, We are facing some issues with UI for registry.centos.org. We are working on it to get it back properly. Image pull from registry.centos.org are working normal. Thus I would claim, generally, that you should not mix CentOS SIG and EPEL on the same machine. I believe there are plans afoot to more tightly integrate CentOS, EPEL, and Fedora, such that SIG packages would be able to use EPEL, but those haven't come to fruition yet, AFAIK. Maybe we will get a status update at the upcoming CentOS dojo in Boston in a couple of weeks. I don't remember the timing of ganesha using userspace-rcu, but even Gluster has been shipping its own userspace-rcu. SIG reports requested

Hi, folks, Due to a very busy travel schedule in June and July (and a lovely long family vacation!) I have dropped the ball on requesting SIG reports for the past two months. As per https://wiki.centos.org/SpecialInterestGroup we attempt to do quarterly reporting for our SIGs. llvm-toolset-7.0 availability

Redhat has had llvm-toolset-7.0 available since March 2019. It adds support for clang and llvm version 7. Don't confuse this with llvm-toolset-7 which supports the older clang version 5 which is already available with Centos 7.

Community build services and EPEL8

Hello folks, In the planning of next Community build services, a new question came up. In the past we never allowed EPEL repositories to be used as external repositories for SIGs. Doing so, would allow to build against EPEL packages and not duplicate the work for maintainers in EPEL/SIGs. However it would mean also building against a moving target which can be difficult if EPEL policies are the same as today. As EPEL 8 is also in the making it would be good to hear what SIGs think about this specific issue. Let us know ! -- Thomas Oulevey
