Problem with CentOS-DE I see is that it consists of two words when you say it, it would be better that it is one fluid word that clearly defines it in conversation.
DesCent? Slightly negative connotations, but I like the way it rolls off the tongue. If you wanted more association you could call it DesCentOS.
