Install lftp, build a minimal mirroring config file, and drop it into cron. For daily diff's, post process each result tree daily with 'find' into well-named result files, and diff today's and yesterday's (or whatever interval you feel is needed) copies. Hand off the diff fruit to autobuilders, to taste; review the builder logs and supplement to taste

This is not rocket science, folks, just a matter of 'lather, rinse, and repeat' in the usual minimal case
