The latest RHEL7 still shows the error msgrcv: No message of desired type if msgrcv() is called with negative arguments within 32-bit applications. It is in Red Hat Bugzilla -- Bug 1042807 but as we dont have RHN Support anymore we cant take a ticket there. I have tested the kernel-lt-3.10.37-1.el6.elrepo.x86_64 and kernel-ml-3.14.1-1.el6.elrepo.x86_64 on CentOS-6 and the 3.10.37 still show the problem, while its fixed in 3.14
The fix is very small ( see attachment ), but I dont know what is the best way to get it fixed in the 3.10 kernels too.
I do not have access to that bug (bug 1042807, it seems to be private) in the RH bugzilla.
Did someone post your patch to the bugzilla?
Yes, I think so: Mateusz Guzik mailto:mguzik@redhat.com 2014-01-15 09:31:12 EST

Attached patch fixes the problem for me, could you please test it?
I'm sorry, but I don't have the kernel srpm to rebuild the kernel.
I think we can skip this step in this case.
Patch sent to lkml:http://marc.info/?l=linux-kernel&m=138979395020104&w=2
Thanks for reporting.
Once we have a centosplus kernel for CentOS-7, we can try to roll that patch in there .. does that sound good Akemi?
At least better than I had to patch each new kernel myself and send it to our customers. But I still hope to get is fixed on kernel.org and back ported to the upstream RHEL7 kernel.
