Currently centpkg-sig is configured to point to git.centos.org and that is great for those SIG's that use that. But more and more SIG's are using gitlab.com/CentOS. I sent out an email a couple months ago when this pull request came in[1] and found out that some SIG's were using git.centos.org. But I've had another ping about changing the default, and it got me thinking about somehow having two defaults.
I'm still thinking about how we could do that, but I'm curious about how much the CentOS SIG's would want this?
There are a couple ways to do it. A) have two configurations with two "binaries" centos-sig-pagure centos-sig-gitlab B) Have one set as the default, and the other as an option centos-sig centos-sig --gitlab C) Something else, like checking both places to see if the package is there. Sounds icky, but just an example of "something else"
So I guess I have two questions: - Do the SIG's want this? - Does anyone have a good idea on how to do it?
