Is there a list of "supported" methods for deployment of CentOS 7.2 on Power8? I know folks with VMs behind VIO servers with PowerVM. I understand VMs under PowerKVM with OPAL are also supported. Any ideas on bare metal CentOS under OPAL, Power8 with either latest firmware levels (FW840 or OP810)?
The correct answer is that if it’s supported in RHEL 7.2 ppc64le, then it’s supported by CentOS 7 1511 ppc64le.
technically, nothing is 'supported' on CentOS. I wonder if we can find a better word to communicate that.
I would look for a word in "not English" because most of the English words end up having specific legal definitions which end up tripping up. I was thinking "implemented" because that is about all that CentOS is going to say it does. "We have a method that is implemented that will use ABC. We do not support this method."
how about just 'works'. Does <feature> work on CentOS Linux ? Yes/No/Maybe
