The way we'll proceed :
- ensure all git projects hosted on https://git.centos.org will be
mirrored to gitlab (they are but that will be last step)
- same for lookaside content actually hosted on https://git.centos.org/
sources (and already mirrored to https://src.sigs.centos.org)
- all git projects imported to https://gitlab.com/CentOS/archives/
git.centos.org will also be marked as "archived" (so read-only)
- we'll switch IP and https://src.sigs.centos.org) will start answering
also on the git.centos.org dns name (already added in the TLS cert SAN)
At this stage all SIGs still relying on pagure (git.centos.org) should have migrated to gitlab.com/CentOS so no impact. Also worth knowing that process to upload to lookaside cache will not change (reason why new lookaside cache server will also answer on git.centos.org hostname)
Just to let you know that flip happened so git.centos.org pagure instance is now down. new lookaside cache server https://src.sigs.centos.org also answers on https://git.centos.org name (for the lookaside upload script and also centpkg-minimal to retrieve sources) but no git repository is hosted anymore on that new server.
