It happens to us as well ... it is something that needs to be fixed, but does not really affect anything except building the distro.
I will look at it later, but you are not doing anything wrong.
OK, thanks - I've just commented out the 'Creating bogl font' bit in upd-instroot, whick appears to 'fix' the issue
