Thanks for all who replied. I'm worried that after the CS8 EOL (2 years from now) the GlusterFS packages (anything newer than v9) will no longer be built or they will be built with older dependencies breaking compatibility on RHEL and derivatives. If there are no plans to keep building them (for example using RHEL 8 as a build platform) after that, it would be worth considering other options before the time comes.
I don't mind to dedicate some of my personal time (no,my employer doesn't use GlusterFS) to ensure the build process continue to work - but my experience is not much. Best Regards,Strahil Nikolov

Hi All,
Does anyone know what will happen with the GlusterFS packages after Stream 8 EOL ? I'm wondering if the build system will keep building them for RHEL 8 or they won't be built anymore ?
