Jeff, the process is hidden. It cannot be studied. There is a black box called CentOS. SRPMS from Red Hat go in, and some time later binary rpms pop out.

Millions of documentable downloads, used everywhere, and exactly zero revenue for CentOS. Truly astonishing.
Time to buy an iPad methinks, and queue up for IOS4. Android doesn't impress.
and "fix" it in CentOS is all that I tried to encourage.
It can't be fixed either, except by the select few.
