hi everybody,
I want to ask devel about Openstack and/or cloud SIG in near future with regards to Centos 8. Is there any future for it in Centos 8 and if yes then, are there any scheduled releases perhaps?
many thanks, L.
Hello L.,
There was a talk about this at the most recent CentOS Dojo at FOSDEM.

To summarize:
- Full RDO Ussuri will be released on CentOS8 only. - Working to provide Train packages on CentOS8. There are already RDO Trunk unsigned packages in:
https://trunk.rdoproject.org/centos8-train/report.html
We are also working on creating signed builds in official mirrors (we can't provide an ETA yet for this).

'only' as opposed to what exactly? (not Centos Stream?) many thanks, L.

By 'only' i meant no CentOS7.
CentOS8 is the priority, WRT CentOS-Stream, our plan is to use it to validate RDO packages with CentOS pre-release builds and long term, to be able to adapt it to next major CentOS release but that's second priority right now and will depend on the progress on stream delivery.
What would you like to see for CentOS Stream?

I'd presume that 'to validate' would mean that OpenStack would also by available to users via dnf repo just like in 'regular' Centos. I'd think that would a natural way for the rest of us to help, having it ready to use & play.
