Hi,
I saw the header artwork at seven.centos.org for first time yesterday afternoon (after a long time off-line) and couldn't resist the motivation of imagining a similar artwork for CentOS 7. Then I read "As a community, for the community" article by Karanbir. Then, with that information in mind, walked one mile from work to home thinking on possible design combinations. When I was at home, I washed my face and started to design using Inkscape and Gimp on a CentOS 6 workstation. As result, the following images arrived:

Alain,
I like the orange one the most, very nice. Allthough I think Evolution wanted to do a different header image on seven.c.o.

So you're selling me out like that are you? GEEZ.... :-P
Yes, I had planned on taking either the background currently on the main website, and cutting it up to update the banner on seven.centos.org, or using what Marcus and Tigert had done already for the seven backgrounds. Currently I'm using the design Marcus posted in http://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos-devel/2014-January/009511.html
What's on seven.centos.org right now is pretty much a standard wp theme called blue peace. I chose it because it was similar in nature to some of the curved blue design from the c5 days and looked to be easily adaptable, although as Christoph points out, I hadn't changed it yet.
All that aside, these are really good works, please keep it up! Any chance you could use that same inspiration on https://polybox.ethz.ch/public.php?service=files&t=b7bc0652a190725e39fe9... or similar?

Yes. It is necessary to coordinate one unique visual style for websites and distribution, based on some pattern (e.g., distribution's major releases). This, in order to consolidate The CentOS Project visual identity on all its visual manifestations.
Such situation requires CentOS Developers intervention in order to decide which artwork The CentOS Project will implement among a number of different sketches. For example, it would be very helpful for graphic designers to know how much time they have to create sketches and how much time they have to implement one of the sketches already created. Without this time-information it is difficult for graphic designers and developers to coordinate and consolidate the visual style of The CentOS Project.
To make the decision process easier and visible to the community, I've created the http://wiki.centos.org/Artwork/Themes/Motifs/CentOS7 page for CentOS7 release. This page collects enumerated Sketch sub-pages (e.g., Sketch1, Sketch2) for each artwork proposition the community members make. CentOS Developers, can go there to select sketches, also make marks in time for graphic designers to schedule their work based on CentOS rebuild schedule.

Thank you very much for all your comments. I've uploaded new images with better resolution in PNG format this morning that you might want to check. There is also a purple-night version of the same artwork that might result attractive for some of you.
In case you need to have this artwork for specific screen resolutions, let me know please. I've uploaded images for 1360x768 displays and others might be created if you request it here.
