gstreamer: - support for multimedia stuff incl. dvd playback, back port from fedora (nux-dextop not work for me)
printing: gutenprint more printers available, works here as expected system-config-config-printer - fix bug with samba (browse) , but still not able to add them
other: libsoup: fix evolution wes with installed winbind-client tools
totem: port —non-existing-session - with this option totem can be open multiple times mutter: more shadow patch (personally) nettalk: nothing special
wine ( 64 with 32l): unfinished, only for centos - missing icon split off. but works can play WoW, Aion, Tera

I was just wondering if there was perhaps someway to collaborate with th existing efforts in this space, rather than do another new repo perhaps ?

not real. I my Test is it useable for default user not serverside, with the benifit of long security fixes. Let me explain:
- OpenSuse 1 and 8 Month - Ubuntu LTS 5 Year - server installation.
I compiled multimedia stuff, not install additional dvd player, because that breaks software stand.
The driver section is the hardest point for enduser and the standard kernel do not fit. Other people got different problems from 7.0 to 7.2
That's why I got 4.4.8 I will name it into kernel-lts-4.4 + version Upgraded intel and ati from opensource.
The laptop here runs well. A complete day without any crashes. Intel Broadwell-U Graphic. And Video decode works too.
So mainstream... stuff
Another question do i break many things when I upgrade the system-config .... groud level administration stuff?

We are also looking to start a Multimedia, though last week I was working on 2 other items and did not get to give the multimedia SIG as much time as I wanted.
But I will try to get the multimedia SIG organized this week.

I have built and am going to maintain a kernel for the altarch SIG based on the 4.4.x Fedora kernel. Here is my SRPM:

How does that match up with what you built?
We do plan to stay on the 4.4.x LTS kernel.org branch with that kernel for a while (at this point)

Kernel: I choose a vanilla build, straight from elrepo. I did it, because never in that footsteps to know if it works or is there something todo. Secondary this board with U5200 i5 & intel hd 5000 only works with it. (from 4.1 as i right remember)

Mesa3D: Try out, as always. Did it in the past for other machines OpenSUSE. and I needed the new intel driver. It works pretty well with my machine. I exclude the galium nine 3d for wine. Got it be hand when needed, but not to break the old package (name convension).

AMGPU (New ones): in xorg and libdrm 2.67, can not test this driver because the laptop not switch between on board card - black screen.
