There has been reasonable levels of interest in the various secondary arch's - i386 / powerpc / arm32 / arm64; but the Core SIG team is just too busy to actively participate and deliver on these.
What I'd like to do is run an online session over google hangout + irc, and see if we can get a conversation started on how other people might contribute towards these builds and how we might setup the idea of a secondary architecture that tracks the main x86_64 builds for CentOS-7.
Not sure if there is much interest or value in doing this for the CentOS-5/6 tree's at this point.
I'd like to propose the 31st Oct 2014 as the date to run this, and starting at 10:00 UTC running for 2 hours.

Hi All,
This is really encouraging for all those who are looking forward to see CentOS builds for multiple archs.
+1. Even I would like to support and contribute towards having ppc64 bits of CentOS 7. Looking forward for the session!

I'd like to participate if I can (not sure exactly what I'll be doing then, but I'll make it if I can). I'm very interested in an i386 port, I have a couple of old laptops that I want to run C7 on.
Please send me an invite as well.

this was ~ 3 hrs back. I emailed everyone who had expressed interest, also we are going to try and do another one next week ( maybe next thursday at 16:00 UTC ); keep an eye on this list for info around that.

Oh! I was travelling and looks like I missed it due to changes in my timezone.
Sure, will keep an eye on this thread. I am keen on exploring alternative platforms eps PPC-64 (BIG endian and little endian).

I am not sure why but I am not able to save my response. But Friday afternoon GMT works for me.
Any heads up on what architectures we are planning to discuss?

I am going to do the demo bits on i686, but the process is overall arch agnostic; the only special case is arm32 where the delivery path is largely via rootfs - but were a fair distance from that.

I think you shared the wrong URI there... That one gets me admin rights. Should probably have been http://www.needtomeet.com/meeting?id=602tt0s6V (found by clicking "Attendee link").

I think Thu 11am UTC looks to be the best spot for people, lets try and hit that for the 13th. I'll setup the hangout and send out urls shortly. We are limited to 12 people on the session at one time and i think we have 11 listed up ( hopefully, i can be the 12th! ).
we can likely repeat the session in 2 weeks time, on the 27th.

Hi Guys,
We've had quite a few people signup and I've sent out invites to 10 people, hopefully trying to span different arch's, for the 13th. Everyone who didnt get one there, I will send another one for the 27th.
I'll also post the content from those tutorials ahead of time to this list, most likely by the 10th, so everyone can proof it before we get down to execution.
Regards,
Hi KB ,
We are definitely excited to get started on this at the earliest . This is indeed a great help . Thanks in advance .
