Moin,
we have set up two virtual machines at the moment for forum testing, one for php-bb and one for flux-bb. Both machines have a basic LAMP setup.
So whoever wants to do some testing for those: Please drop me a mail and you'll get back the password and ip address for that machine. As a bonus you'll also get the ldapmanager password (see LDAP section of http://wiki.centos.org/WebsiteVer2/forums) and the location of your user and groups tree in LDAP.
If there is someone who wants to test a different forum software, please raise your hand now (Requirements for the software can also be found on http://wiki.centos.org/WebsiteVer2/forums).
Cheers,
Ralph

Thanks for that, Ralph.
It would be great if someone (maybe Karan) could set up some hostnames for the VMs (e.g. vhost1.centos.org) which would make testing of different installations on one machine much easier.
Best Regards Marcus

I dont mind doing that, Ralph can as well. the machines are provisioned with a name, so we can just use those.

Still waiting for the Hostnames to be set up ;)
That happened quite a time ago ...

Its a bit of a single horse race this. Do we want to propose a deadline of some sort ? People are allowed to have lives though :D
The Drupal guys havent even got to the point of asking for access, so I guess fluxbb and phpbb are the only two real contenders, and I think fluxbb ( thanks to Guillaume's work ) might be the only one thats at a stage where something is done ? This is as far as I can tell.

I have already started to set up some infrastructure for phpBB and now decided to continue without vhost declaration. Expect some news, soon ;)

Can you elaborate a bit on : "continue without vhost declaration" ?
I have asked for some hostnames to be assigned to the TestVMs IP address a while ago, as it would then be a bit easier to test a few independent installations side by side using apaches name based virtual-host declarations.
Now I am just setting up different subdirectories if necesary.
Today, I have noticed that someone else also has started an test installation on the same machine which I did not know. This is a bit confusing and it would be great if the one (who is responsible for that) could leave me a short note on things like that in the future.
Best Regards Marcus

I thought you and Tim would have communicated a bit ...
