Please note that when running Xfce ( from the official yum groupinstall ) the "restart and update" button in the "Software" application does not actually restart the computer. A manual restart is required. Hardly a showstopper...but thought it worth mentioning.

there is no "official" yum groupinstall xfce in centos. You were probably using the packages from EPEL which is a different project with a different team than CentOS.
Please file a bug at bugzilla.redhat.com as there is no guarantee whatsoever that the package maintainers fromĀ EPEL are subscribed here.
