So, there's a lot of demand to keep docker-io in top form on EL6 but we're kinda short-staffed as far as EL6 goes.
I was wondering if we have dedicated EL6 users who'd like to help out with docker-io rpm updates and maintenance. It'd be great if you're a fedora packager already and I could add you as co-maintainer of the el6 branch. Even if you are _not_ a packager, but _know_ packaging or are willing to learn :), you could test el6 updates on your environment and send me patches to docker-io dist-git which I'd then build.
And/or does CentOS want to entertain the idea of SIGs for CentOS 6 or would that be too much for just 1 package?

I am a Fedora sponsor (FAS: wolfy) and I am willing to try to help with everything/anything related to packaging. However I am not using docker-io so I'd need someone else to help with thorough testing.

Hi Manuel
Danilo Falcao (cc'd, FAS: fcon) is starting out with co-maintaining docker and related packages on virt SIG packages.
He's already helping out with Fedora QA and would probably want to get sponsored into fedora packagers as well.
So, he or I will reach out to you soon :)
Thanks!!

I misread your offer to help with co-maintenance as "I'm willing to help sponsor someone into packagers, but won't quite work on this directly".
That was entirely my bad and I could certainly use your help with co-maintenance. I'll add you as co-maintainer on it, so you and Aditya can start on it right away.
Also, there's docker-registry for el6 that I'll need help on, so let me know if you're interested in taking that one up too.

All right

Sure. As long as I can, I'll help

I am EL6 user and packager and I am willing to help. However, I have less experience in packaging so I might need some help from time to time. If that is fine then I am ready to take up the task.

Sold to Aditya Patawari! I'll update pkgdb to have you on point for el6. Feel free to reach out in case you need help with anything :)
Danilo (FAS: fcon) might also be able to help with patches/testing, perhaps with co-maintenance as well, once sponsored into packagers.
