Hi all,
I am Kushal Das, a long time Fedora contributor and CPython core developer and director at Python Software Foundation. I am currently working in Eucalyptus Systems as community gardener.
I was looking forward to contribute to CentOS and found this wiki page at about cloud SIG [1]. I am volunteering myself for the SIG and I am willing to do the work required to get things done.

Excellent
We've tried to bootstrap the cloud infra sig in the past, but never made it as far as getting a proposal into the board for review and kickoff. That would be the first step here.
Typically, the process works as: - get a proposal into the board for review
- get the resources required setup
- get acl's setup to build at cbs.centos.org and import to git.centos.org
- do some builds, get the docs ready ( I presume this SIG could own a chunk of, if not all of wiki.centos.org/Cloud )
- once we have a testing repo with the required basic bits in place, we can look at doing a wider variant build and move to production release
One of the original goals was to setup things in a manner that this SIG can help onboard all / any cloud infra project : it would be good if we can retain that goal. I also think once we get a bit of traction on and around the SIG, we would be able to get an easier contributor path. Really, we just need to get stuff off the ground here.
Let me know when you want to sync up, maybe we can have a session on irc, and see how best to get started.
thanks!
Hi,
Nice to meet you Kushal.
At OpenNebula we are keen on seeing the SIG off the ground, and I'd like to join in on the effort of bootstrapping the SIG.
cheers, Jaime

Hello all,
I also have a large interest in seeing this SIG progress. I am happy to contribute wherever required. My day to day work is around engineering hosting solutions and OS platform standards, predominantly utilizing CentOS and RHEL platform for a global firm.
Are there already irc meetings scheduled for this initiative?
@Jaime - I believe we met at the dojo in Cologne? I was hounding you for information around OpenNebula and ESXi integration.
Cheers, Tim
