I think that an alternative to the workaround mentioned there is to build the kernel with different options, but I've not tried that.

That does not mention the specific model, but I think the problems are the same .. if so, it is in the 5.1 release notes from upstream already.

Mine's Intel CPU & chipset. I don't think they're the same.
