- We are still in discussions on how to push these properly to
Dockerhub.
Since CentOS is an Official Image, there are some extra requirements
here that we're working through.
Does it means generating smaller former container image by kickstart- like tools instaed of additional scripts based on Red Hat UBI 8?

I think this is part of it. https://github.com/docker-library/official-images#repeatability says "No official images can be derived from, or depend on, non-official images", and https://github.com/CentOS/sig-cloud-instance-images/blob/CentOS-8-Stream/doc... uses "FROM registry.access.redhat.com/ubi8:latest".
