Well, :o) no answer.. Finally I have created what's needed: mnogosearch-3.3.3 mnogosearch-devel-3.3.3 php-pecl-mnogosearch-1.0.0.
Is there interest in including to CentosPlus? Regard, David Hrbáč

Why would this goto CentOSPlus ? none of these things overwrite anything included in the base distro - if anything they should be candidates for centos extras.

Hi, I'd like to start some discussion about repositories and custom RPMS.
From time to time there are posts to list about new custom RPMS. There
is practically no way to include these RPMS into CentOS, so number of "private" repos is growing. So I ask, isn't a time to find some way out?
My suggestions: 1) find some repo and try to colaborate (Dag's rpmforge?!?) 2) really open Extras repo 3) redirect all new RPMS to upstream (Fedora) 4) something totally different
Thanks, David

We are working on this at the moment.... The present situation isnt something that I am happy about either.
My suggestions:
- find some repo and try to colaborate (Dag's rpmforge?!?)
- really open Extras repo
- redirect all new RPMS to upstream (Fedora)
- something totally different
We're working on getting 1,2,4 done :)

Maybe because it's compiled against php-devel-5.1.6-1.2.1.centos.i386.rpm from CentosPlus... :o) David

Okay, that looks like a valid reason. But it should be recompiled against the newest php version =:)

Also, is there a reason why it wont build against the standard php included in the distro as well ?

A few ideas: 1) it's against because we need it with php5 for C4 2) it's not included in php source since 5.1.x 3) name should be php-mnogosearch when compiled for php4 and it should be included in php 4.x source, so php.spec file must be modified
Maybe, yes you are right, mnogosearch and mnogosearch-devel should go to Extras and php-pecl-mnogosearch to CentosPlus and php-mnogosearch to Extras... But there's no straight PRM policy. :o(
Maybe mnogosearch* and php[-pecl]-mnogosearch will not be included in Centos repo at all, but this can start some discussion about RPM policy. Regards, David

Well, it's compiled against php-devel-5.1.6-3.el4s1.5.i386.rpm , sorry for the typo.
php-5.1.6-3.el4s1.7.src.rpm is available =:)
Cheers,
Ralph
