Dear List,
I would like to express interest in running CentOS7 & probably CentOS6 production servers on ppc64 architecture. With OpenPower we have access to PowerKVM and want to understand current progress around this. Ubuntu is found to be working as ppc64el.
I found blog entry http://www.karan.org/blog/2014/06/12/can-we-deliver-a-powerpc-build-for-cent... which refers to a mailchain of last month http://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos-devel/2014-June/010625.html followed by http://bugs.centos.org/view.php?id=7236
Let me know if we can help in any way to get it general available.
Regards, Rushikesh

stay tuned, details on how you can get involved coming soon :)
for power, we've done a couple of rounds of builds, and the biggest challenge revolves around bootstrapping the ppc userland. Its a great niche to prove and run the community assisted build services

Just checking in to see if there's anything new on how/when we can start to help with the PowerPc effort?
Thanks,
