Just reporting success on installing and using the i386 version on both i686 and Opteron x86_64 systems [I don't use the x86_64 build due to 32- bit plugin issues]. As has been reported elsewhere, 1.5 seems dramatically faster than earlier firefox versions.

Thanks for the feedback Phil. Did you 'update' an existing firefox-1.0.7 install or was this a fresh install ?

BTW ... I installed this on 4 workstations, it works great for me ... all of them were upgrades from 1.0.7. (I figured I should report it too :)

Updated an existing firefox. Everything I've tried still works without other changes or tweaks including j2re, acroread, and various multimedia plugins.

Been using them since they where released. Been working wonders for me, without any glinches for a few weeks (since you released them to the repository).

It works perfectly for me too. I installed it (the i386 version ) on 19 December and it has worked without any problems ever since. I even kept my old .mozilla folder, and still no problems.
Have a nice day everyone, Alex
