Addition of Directory Server Gateway (DSGW) package to testing

Hey folks, I was wondering if anyone was interested in an addition to the "centos-ds-*" suite? I've done the rebranding and RPM packaging for the Directory Server Gateway (centos-ds-dsgw-1.1.1-1.src.rpm). CentOS on the Asus Eeepc ...

We talked earlier on IRC about the Asus Eeepc I think the idea was to start a wiki page with at least informations regarding the Eeepc. So here it is : http://wiki.centos.org/HowTos/Laptops/Asus/Eeepc (not linked from the CentOS on Laptops wiki page yet though , still a draft ;-) ) I had to modify the installer initrd.img to include the atl2.ko module for the wired nic to install from my local mirror .. where do i store it ? on the wiki page itself, as an attachment ? a simple link to a tmp space on my website ? I'm now wondering what's the best way to include the atl2.ko module during setup : a rpm that will be fetched from centos extras (?) or a simple driverdisk ? Missing header files from xulrunner-devel sdk package, bugs?

Hi, I've just installed xulrunner-devel from yum: # yum install xulrunner-devel The xulrunner-sdk-1.9 was installed, but there are following header files cannot be found in xulrunner-sdk-1.9/sdk/include: mozilla-config.h mozilla-config32.h prtypes.h The include/xulrunner-sdk-1.9 does constain mozilla-config.h and mozilla-config32.h, I fixed it by linking those two files in xulrunner-sdk-1.9/sdk/includ. The prtypes.h can only be found in following places: /usr/include/nspr4/prtypes.h /usr/include/xulrunner-sdk-1.9/system_wrappers/prtypes.h /usr/include/xulrunner-sdk-1.9/stable/prtypes.h I've tried to link either of the prtypes.h in xulrunner-sdk-1.9/sdk/include, but none of them works. At final, I failed to build VLC mozilla plugin linking to xulrunner-sdk-1.9/sdk. Am I missing something here, is there a correct xulrunner-devel sdk package I can download from? Or is it a bug in xulrunner-devel sdk package? Please advise how can I fix this problem? Thank you. Kind regards, Jim

The following packages are now available in the CentOS-5-Testing repository : yum-3.2.17-0_beta_18_2.el5.centos yum-utils-1.1.14-0_beta_15_2.el5.centos python-urlgrabber-3.1.0-4.el5.centos Notes: - Not all the CentOS Specific patches are rolled into these packages, and as I push them in, the packages will get updated. So yum update often! - yum-utils does not have all plugins enabled as yet either, that will be done with the next build ( this Sunday 17th ). Please leave feedback, either here on this list, or at http://bugs.centos.org/ mark the bugs against project: CentOS-5 component: yum We are specially interested in hearing feedback from people who had/run into issues with the move from yum-3.0 to yum 3.2 with the CentOs-5.2 release. - KB

Smal bug in yum 3.2.17-0_beta_18_2

Hello, I've installed yum.noarch.3.2.17-0_beta_18_2.el5 from the testing repository and found a small bug: If the yum-skip-broken plugin is installed yum doesn't work anymore after the update because the plugins functionality has been integrated into yum. The only way to make you work again is to remove the plugin. But this should IMHO also be done by the rpm on update. -- Heiko Adams <heiko.adams(a)gmx.de>
