Querying koji

Hi, I was attempting to access the CentOS koji server via the --weburl= option of the koji command. When I do something like: koji --weburl=https://koji.mbox.centos.org/ list-tags I don’t get all the c8 tags I see if I use a browser and go to https://koji.mbox.centos.org/koji/tags. I seem to get all the fedora tags. I assume I am just using the wrong URL. Neale

"Software" "restart and update" does not work when running Xfce

Please note that when running Xfce ( from the official yum groupinstall ) the "restart and update" button in the "Software" application does not actually restart the computer. A manual restart is required. Hardly a showstopper...but thought it worth mentioning.

CentOS 8.2 Devel repo is empty

As the subject says, the CentOS 8.2 (2004) Devel repo is empty.[1] On behalf of the EPEL community, we would really like this repo re-populated. Also, on behalf of the EPEL community, we would also like the rest of the packages that have been requested [2] to either be added to Devel, or at least given a reason why they aren't. If there is already a bug/issue open for this repo being empty, please point me to it. Otherwise I will open a bug/issue. CentOS 8 and qla2xxx

I have several servers with QLogic fibre-channel HBAs in the ISP24xx series, notably the ISP2432. This card has been removed from the C8 kernel's ID list. I looked at ELrepo, but there's not a kmod for the qla2xxx like there is for megaraid_sas (which I'm using; many thanks to ELrepo), and I don't see the qla2xxx referenced in the patchlist for the CentOS Plus kernel-plus packages. Anyone else here using these older 4Gb fibre-channel cards with C8? The Bugzilla number referenced by the changelog (1572233) is of course not accessible, even when I'm logged in and have a valid subscription to RHEL; I would like to know the rationale (similar to target mode on qla2xxx; apparently a 'management' decision to not support; I would love to just know why). I know 4Gb fibre-channel isn't exactly exciting tech these days, but I have a lot of storage that uses it that isn't going to be upgraded any time soon. I have a ton of ISP2464 cards, but they're just a bit too large to fit in a Dell PE1950. Yeah, might be a bit old but they still have a lot of life left in them for lots of uses!

Are they any known issues in booting kernel 4.18.0-193.6.3.el8_2.x86_64 (8.2 (2004)) with secure boot enabled? I have this issue https://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos/2020-June/350702.html and wonder if the qa team has found any problem? The corresponding kernel-plus also doesn't boot ... -- Thanks Leon

Updated KDE available in EPEL 8

RHEL 8.2 and CentOS 8.2 have an updated qt5. This updated qt5 allowed us to update the KDE Plasma Desktop in EPEL8. We are not at the following versions. qt5 - 5.12 plasma - 5.18 [1] kf5 - 5.68 / 19.12 apps - 5.18 / 19.12 Installation Instructions: ### First: install epel-release rpm -Uvh https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/epel-release-latest-8.noarch.rpm ### Second: Enable codeready-builder or PowerTools subscription-manager repos --enable codeready-builder-for-rhel-8-x86_64-rpms #### If CentOS 8 do dnf config-manager --enable PowerTools #### If CentOS Stream do dnf config-manager --enable Stream-PowerTools ### Third: install KDE dnf group install "KDE Plasma Workspaces" or dnf group install kde-desktop (Optional) dnf group install kde-media (Optional) dnf group install kde-apps (Optional) dnf install okular ### (Optional) Fourth: Set sddm as desktop manager ### Required if you started from a minimal install systemctl set-default graphical.target [if in multi-user.target] dnf install sddm\* systemctl enable sddm -f reboot ### (Optional) If you installed in GNOME systemctl reload gdm Known Issues: Several (about 50%) settings do not work in System Settings. https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1838801 Help resolving this bug would be appreciated.
