Sftp connections timing out in Centos 7

Hi, We are facing some issues in Centos 7. When we create sftp connection and sync data from server to client and vice-versa. Whenever we are running load on the setup SFTP connections are frequently getting timed out. Resulting in unnecessary sftp processes on system. Is there any known issue related to sftp timeout. In place upgrade to Centos 7

Missing Dependency of Openshift 3.10 (Ansible 2.4.3) in repo

On a virgin system CentOS 7.5 can, unfortunately, after the command #yum install centos-release-openshift-origin" the following command not be executed without error. # yum install openshift-ansible There is a dependency to Ansible 2.4.3 in Openshift 3.10, which unfortunately is not in the repo (Only Ansible 2.4.2). Can you please include Ansible 2.4.3 in the rpm repo? Thanks. Robert

CentOS AMIs for AWS

SRPMS for AltArch (more specifically aarch64 kernel)

Hi folks, I've asked on IRC and have been pointed to this list. I can't seem to find this particular source rpm: kernel-aarch64-4.5.0-29.el7.src.rpm which is what is pointed by `rpm -qi kernel` on my system. Are these supposed to be available anywhere? Looking on google I only see one for an older release in someone's centos user/people page, but I can't seem to find these in any repo. The debuginfo are properly here but it's good to have sources as well when messing around with low level stuff :) Cheers and thanks for the hard work, -- Dominique Martinet

[RFC] New SIG Messaging

Creation of a new SIG "Messaging" ================================= Hereby, I'm asking for comments about founding a new SIG to handle messaging stacks in CentOS. We currently have in CentOS RabbitMQ handling AMQP 0.9, and QPID, which provides messaging using AMQP 1.0. There are also packages supporting Kafka, but not Kafka itself. Collaborating SIGs would be the Cloud and the Opstools SIGs. Both would be consuming built packages produced by the Messaging SIG. We also briefly took into consideration to incorporate the newly proposed SIG into one of the others. At the end, messaging is different than Cloud or Operational tools. It doesn't really fit. The best solution seemed to us to have another SIG. If there are any questions or comments, please don't hesitate to reply to the list, and let's find the best proposal here. The CentOS Atomic SIG has released an updated version of CentOS Atomic Host (7.1807), an operating system designed to run Linux containers, built from standard CentOS 7 RPMs, and tracking the component versions included in Red Hat Enterprise Linux Atomic Host. [!HPC] Request to join HPC Sig

Hello, Please let me introduce myself. I am Beth Lynn Eicher with the FAS username of bethlynn. My background is a career in engineering systems deployments in research computing. I have worked at the Carnegie Mellon University, the Department of Energy, and the University of Chicago. Currently, I am a High Performance Computing consultant with clients like Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center and the University of Wyoming. There, I worked with Bridges, an XSEDE participating site. Bridges uses CentOS 7 as do many other large installations. If you look at the top500, CentOS is the most popular named distribution. I hypothesize that CentOS is in the majority of the overall market share. It is a solid choice for all HPC systems. The tools for use with HPC are often built by our greater community but seldom packaged by EPEL. I am unware of rpm builds for the following Free Software projects: https://github.com/OSC/Open-OnDemand https://www.psc.edu/hpn-ssh https://portal.tacc.utexas.edu/tutorials/multifactor-authentication https://github.com/TACC/Lmod As an industry contributor from a small company, I am unencumbered by institutional politics which may cause reluctance to collaboration. Therefore, I believe that I would be a very useful contributor to a HPC SIG within the CentOS community. Yesterday, I spoke about cybersecurity in HPC at the CentOS Dojo. There we had a significant amount of energy around HPC and I would like to see this conversation continue. Today, I sought out the HPC SIG of CentOS. While there is evidence of activity, I have not seen anything more recent than Fall of 2017. Where is everybody?
