Hello,
I'd like to participate in the kmod SIG.
I'll add you to the initial member list on the CentOS Wiki.
I am interested in getting the in-kernel AFS client available to CentOS systems. This involves the kafs and rxrpc kernel modules. These kernel modules are already in-tree. I'd probably be targeting 9-stream, since it has the most mature version of the kAFS client in it.
Also, there needs to be a kafs-client non-kernel package, which makes the /afs mount available using the kernel module. kafs-client is already built in Fedora[1] so it's not a stretch to get it working in CentOS. The 9-stream filesystem package already supports the /afs mountpoint[2].
I'm also interested in participating in whatever the SIG decides for signing kmods.
This looks like a really good example of what can be done within the scope of the proposed kmods SIG.
