Dear Sirs,
ny name is Daniele Dellerba and I live in Vigevano, a little town
in the North of Italy.
I am a very famous Linux operator in my Nation and the Journalists
have been interested in my work many times
http://ogigia.altervista.org/index.php?mod=read&id=1183969971 .
Here, in Italy, every year on October. 27rd, we have the Linux
Day ( http://www.linuxday.it/ ). So all over the Country there are many
meetings, conferences, briefings about it.
So I ask you a thing: I would like giving many Italian people some
priceless boxes of your Linux softwares, even in ancient versions,
showing this way to everybody this operative system and publicizing your
production.
If you agree, please send me the required material to my address.
Best wishes.

Hi folks
In the coming month, the bolivia's free software community, is
organizing the "VII Congreso Nacional de Software
Libre" (http://congreso.softwarelibre.org.bo)
I will be there giving some talks and workshops. So I'm interested on
made a CentOS Project presentation, because for many people in my
country CentOS is a "new" Linux distro or just they don't know.
So, there is an existing presentation ?, to begin from there. I need
translate it to spanish.
By the way, I'm older CentOS user, from CentOS-3 days. I'm too an usual
contributor to centos-spanish maillist. And some times (when I have few
work) I help with translation work on the wiki.
I will apreciate any sugestion/opinion on this.
TIA

Hi all,
As I'm cross-posting I'll do this in English.
We have an opportunity to have a booth for 2 persons at the NLUUG 25th
anniversary event in Amsterdam, NL. I do not know yet if I can be present,
but I prefer if someone from the Netherlands can attend as well.
The website is found at:
http://www.nluug25.nl/
Aside from the free entrance, there is a possibility to go to some of the
talks given that we find 2 people. As the booth cannot be deserted :)
If anyone is interested, let me know or join the centos-promo list so we
can start planning this event and I can confirm our booth.
Thanks in advance,

Hi CentOS users,
The centos-promo team is looking for your help.
Is anyone interested in creating nice CentOS screenshots ?
We can have them on the wiki as well for future articles or presentations.
A good screenshot should:
+ Be clear on what it is showing
- applications like eg. inkscape should have a file opened
- files opened in applications should make clear what the application
does
- try not to show off too many things at once, in order to not
overwhelm or confuse
+ The CentOS logo (and name) should be clearly visible
- possibly by using the content in applications
eg. inkscape could open the SVG CentOS logo with some text
or Open Office could show an important CentOS slide that also holds
the major advantages of CentOS
- or making the background visible with CentOS theme
Please let me know if you are interested to contribute in this fashion.
Thanks for your help !

Hi Guys,
http://www.thelinuxvault.net/wiki/CentOS could use some more info really. Also,
I am sure there are other pages like this that talk about CentOS all over the
internet, could we make an effort and identify some of them and perhaps make
sure they get some content ?

Hi everybody,
CentOS will be present for the first time at the Technical Dutch Open
Source Event (T-DOSE) in Eindhoven, NL.
We have a booth at the entrance as well as a presentation about
Virtualization, presented by Daniel de Kok (danieldk). No doubt the
presentation will include information about the new CentOS Virtualization
SIG ! (Other topics are still accepted for T-DOSE)
If you're interested to be more involved with CentOS, helping out at the
booth, volunteering to give a presentation or organising your own
presence or event is a good way to meet CentOS community members and
users.
Feel free to contact me for more information or join the centos-promo
mailinglist and introduce yourself.
More information about the T-DOSE event and other events is available
from:
http://wiki.centos.org/Events
Hope to see you there !

Dear Open Source Projects,
This e-mail is sent to everyone who asked for an Open Source stand at
T-DOSE. We welcome you all at the event on 13th and 14th October 2007.
The entrance opens at 09:00 hrs and close on 18:30 hrs on Saturday and
Sunday.
Here some details on the stand:
- the size of the stand is a normal table
- wifi/ethernet access to Internet is available
- bring your own ethernet cables
- bring your own power cords
- wall space is limited so not everybody will have the capability to
hang something on a wall, so bring your own 'wall' ;-) if you need one
- at the event the projects name will be put on a 'stand' table so you
know where you are supposed to be
- stands are at the entrance of the building
