Hello,
I want to let you know about 2-day CentOS Dojo + OpenNebula Techdays event we are planning to do in Timisoara on September 26/27.
We had a discussion with Karanbir and Jaime Melis from the OpenNebula team and the details are starting to take shape, so i wanted to announce it on the CentOS promo mailing list.
Here are the details:
The first day will be a 4 hour workshop / tutorial held by the OpenNebula core team. In the second day, we will have a full-day CentOS Dojo event with 6 speaker sessions. We might have even more, if there are more people interested in speaking and sharing from their experience in using CentOS. If so, we will split the room at some point to accommodate multiple session at the same time.
Every day will be followed by networking + going out for some beers.
Date: September 26/27
Location: Timisoara, Romania
Venue: City Business Centre<http://www.business-centre.ro/>
Event Sponsors: Cloudbase Solutions, Unified Post
Speakers: Karanbir Singh<https://uk.linkedin.com/in/karanbirsingh>, Alessandro Pilotti<https://www.linkedin.com/pub/alessandro-pilotti/3/a21/210>, Valentin Bud,<https://ro.linkedin.com/in/valentinbud> Jaime Melis<http://es.linkedin.com/pub/jaime-melis/19/8b1/5>
We have another 2 potential speakers who have yet to confirm. In the next period I will focus on working on the session titles and topics. Once we have everything set, i will post it on this thread.
If there are any members of this mailing list who are based in Timisoara or any neighbouring city, and would like to speak during the CentOS Dojo, please get in touch.
I am expecting about 60-80 people from Timisoara and other neighbouring cities to attend this joint event.
@Karanbir, @Jim - If there is anything in terms of details that you need me to clarify please write me.
Any feedback / suggestions are welcomed.
Thanks,
Have a nice day!

Hi,
the folks who setup the venue for us at Paris, are keen to help us setup
an annual dojo event in addition to a more workshop / tutorial format
session. Again, doing this on a calendar, with enough notice, would be a
great thing run.
I'll have a more detailed washdown and a dojo report in the next day or
so online, but in the mean time I wanted to pass the idea of setting up
regular dojo dates in a calendar along.
I think its great!

Folks:
I'd like to go ahead with this idea for new t-shirts.
http://quaid.fedorapeople.org/images/tshirt-centos10.png
We'd do a that design on a standard shirt. We can also look at doing
that design on a nicer quality sports-style jersey for people to wear
who are running event booths, Dojos, etc. (All as I understood Tuomas
to explain it.)
Any additional thoughts about this design? Changes or ideas?
Thanks - Karsten

Hi,
I just realized that I missed the Call for Projects on FrOSCon.
As there wasn't anything on this list, I guess nobody else did register.
Do we want to have a booth this year? If we do want to have a booth and
there's someone to help out (I cannot run a booth alone), I'd contact
FrOSCon Orga and see if they can put us on the list even though we
missed the deadline.
Regards,
Andreas

Hi,
I would like to give a talk about "Centralized and Structured

is Brussels.
I know it's quite late!

Hi,
I'm trying to get a handle on what we have upcoming, and the Dojo page
is a bit out of date:
http://wiki.centos.org/Events/Dojo
Other than Cologne, Germany in less than a week(?), what else is missing?
Background is that I'm want to centralize some of the organizing work
that KB, Jim, JZB, et al have been doing for Dojos and other events.
Part of this is to get that off their workload so they can do Other
Cool Things, but mainly to make things more efficient and less
stressful. In that I hope to put together some easy processes to get
things such as t-shirts sponsored, printed, and shipped out. Expect
some emails from me in the next weeks on logos, logo usage, shared
logos with sponsors, and so forth.
Cheers - Karsten
