The guys [3] at LinuxTag want to share some of the stuff they have
been doing today.
After setting up the booth [1] we started the usual socializing by
doing this, we met Brian Schueler again who created a PowerPC 32
version of CentOS and even a ARMv5. This is quite impressive and we
all gathered around to see a little demonstration. Further we talked
to the usual suspects from Fedora and Red Hat which was represented
quite strongly this year.
Nothing special about the booth [2] this time we have an iMac on
display on which we are showing some information about CentOS. Then we
went on dismantling a thinkpad to see how it looked on the inside and
some members of the team visited some talks.
We are now off to the pub for some food and German Beer.
Cheers [3]

The wiki page http://wiki.centos.org/Events/LinuxTag2009 has a list of
things to bring. But who brings what? Maybe people could mark the items
they will bring so we see what is still missing.

Hello Exhibitors,
although the planning of the exhibition area of the FrOSCon isn't
finished yet
we are happy to tell you, that you will get a booth on the FrOSCon 2009.
Unfortunately we can't promise you yet, how big it will be, but every
project
will get at least one table, two chairs and hopefully a moveable wall for
posters etc.
However it's quite likely that you will get a booth that fits your needs
in the
end, because we have plenty space this year. We will contact you with more
information when the planning of our exhibition area is done.
Kind regards
FrOSCon Orga

Hi,
So finally, the bullet is through the church, as we vividly say in Dutch
(I have no clue where the expression comes from, honestly). It means a
decision has been made.
Tim and I will drive to Berlin on Tuesday evening, and we will return on
Friday afternoon. Because we will arrive late and leave early it makes
little sense to bring my screen and other equipment that would otherwise
travel back with me on Friday. So we have to make sure that there is
sufficient to display on the booth.
I'll bring all equipment with me on Tuesday as I am uncertain if I can
meet with Didi on Saturday (we are going to a concert that day in
Werchter :-/)
We may want to prepare something to show on the equipment we have for
display in advance. And this event I want to collect all material from the
past on a single wiki. That is our main goal this time. Is everyone with
me ? :-D
Equipment:
- flyers
- stickers
- posters
- wireless access point
- power cables
- wii stuff :-)
I will not bring my laptops (broken screens) or my TFT screen. All the
other stuff can travel back with Geerd-Dietger.
Stuff missing on Wiki:
- design of stickers, posters, flyer
- presentations used on kiosk
- information/pictures of previous events
- article about how great LinuxTag was for the Newsletter :-)
Feel the vibe...

Hello Everybody,
afaict everybody who submitted a talk should have been noticed last week
wether or not the talk was accepted.
I'll need to know who will do a talk, because speakers have to be
handled differently.
Didi: was your talk accepted?
Tosh: was the talk you added to the wiki accepted?
Regards,
Andreas

Disclosure: I'm one of the Brucon organizers.
My take on the request. I didn't want anyone, including the sponsors to
start with booths. This was going to be a non-commercial event unlike
infosecurity.be.
This is why I'm not in favor of any booths. But I'm in favor of 'hacking'
communities. Toool.nl and various hackerspaces.org will be present like
Randomdata, HSB, Syn²cat and /tmp/lab.
They get some 'space' to promote their community. So some presence in the
hacklounge. A small desk where they can show some of the stuff they hack
together. Some of them will give workshops.
Our prices range from 50€ (students) to 180€ which is about the price of a
combo-ticket to Rock Werchter. Consider us a "tech" festival but with comfy
chairs and wifi to sit in.
The concept is a little bit Defcon/CCCongress style but with our own little
twist. The event is shaped by the volunteers and since it's the first
edition, a lot has still to be defined.
If you have any comments or suggestions, drop me a message.

Hey
I just want to summarize the LinuxTag Promo:
* I will be driving to Berlin on Saturday and stop by Dags place to
pic up all the promo stuff (flyers and stuff).
* Ralph you have to tell me when and where I can pick up the passes
* We have to clarify who can bring what (Monitor etc..)?
* When are people arriving?
* What has to be done till then?
* Maybe we could get some of those new shirts?
Just get the communication going :)
Cheers Didi
