CentOS Pulse #1006 - The August Newsletter.

Hail Chief Editor, Didi and the rest of the editorial team, As the first day of August is this coming Sunday, as there is currently very little committed to disk, as an interview with / a monologue by a CentOS user is still required (my candidate has currently declined -- at least for this issue) and -- from my personal situation -- I have a pressing editorial commitment that *must be* submitted *before* next Sunday, I would like to propose that the release date of the August issue of the newsletter be set as August 15th, 2010. Comments? Grumbles? (Payment, in used £50 notes, to be placed in the usual location, please!) Alan / burakkucat.

FrOSCon 2010 - Booth approved

Hi Everyone, after an almost painful period of silence FrOSCon finally accepted our booth-request. As we'll have a booth at FrOSCon 2010, we need staff for the booth. Sarah and me are already committed and Didi is also listed. This year there's also a kids program[1], so if you want to bring your children with you: feel free to do so, but don't forget to register. I need feedback from everyone who wants to help out until Aug 6th. Please also tell me if you need a place to sleep organized. I don't have any information from FrOSCon concerning acommodation yet, but at least I can guarantee that nobody has to sleep under a bridge :) I can offer a free space in our house to anyone who's brave enough to try it. Monthly Promo / Newsletter meeting

Hey As agreed I have organised a promo / Newsletter meeting that we will be holding over VOIP. I have added the dates and times to the wiki [1]. I hope a lot of people can attend. If someone can not make the Voip meeting please come onto IRC and ask your question there and I will keep you posted as well as keep a log of stuff that was decided. You can also just send me a mail and I will then bring it up. The first meeting will be on Wed 4th of August at 8.00 (GMT). I hope you can all make it.
