FrOSCon 2011 / August 20th/21st

FrOSCon 2011 [1] is approching. On August 20th/21st the 6th FrOSCon will take place in St. Augustin, Germany. We have filed a request for a booth. The booth is more or less confirmed (i.e. they confirmed a booth, but weren't sure wether or not they could provide the layout I requested). We still need people to man the booth. For now it is Sarah, Brian and me. Is there anyone else willing to help out? Brian and/or Didi, can you bring the rest of the Promo-Material from Berlin? I don't know wether or not FrOSCon is going to provide cheap hotel rooms this year. However, as last year Sarah and me offer you to stay at our place. We have two spare double-beds, air-beds, lots of space and free WiFi. Hi all; What is the status of the CentOS Pulse Newsletter? I've heard a rumor or two that it has gone dormant. Is there any way that I can help out? I enjoy writing as a hobby and have a firm grasp on the English language--it is my native tongue. I've been using CentOS for several years and love discovering new things to do with it. Calendar Thoughts, Upcoming Events

Hey guys, In order to facilitate communication and notification of upcoming events where we can promote our great OS, a working calendar is definitely needed. There are several events coming up, and some already planned, I would like to make it easier for promo material distribution to parties as needed, and/or attendee information. Having been unable to attend Texas Linux Fest earlier in the month, I am determined not to let that happen again. If you have something upcoming, kindly let it be known, and I will get it added to a tentative calendar, until final design is decided on. So, what's coming up ? Cheers, Chris

Hey, (English version below, crosspost to centos-de and centos-promo) Gerade ist der Call for Projects für den Linuxtag in Berlin reingekommen, dieses Jahr vom 11. bis zum 14. Mai. Irgendjemand Interesse, dort mit uns CentOS vorzustellen? Ich würde gerne einen Stand dort machen, aber dafür brauchen wir halt wie immer ein paar Leute. English Version: I just got the call for Projects for the Linuxtag in Berlin, which will be from May 11th to May 14th this year. Is anyone planning on being there? I'd like to have a booth for us there, is there anyone wanting to help - as we sure could need some people there :) Regards, Ralph

Hey promo people ! Fosdem is this week-end and it seems some confirmed people didn't put their name on the wiki page : http://wiki.centos.org/Events/Fosdem2011 :-) Speaking about organization : do we want a dinner on Saturday evening ? Promo box : normally IIRC Ralph will come with the promo box, even if it's almost empty (just a few flyers left) : can you confirm ? T-Shirts : Garry sent me a box full of CentOS shirts that we'll be able to give Power-plug : i'll bring one to be sure that your laptops will survive out of 'battery mode' :-) Blue tablecloth : normally is included in the promo box (Ralph , can you confirm that too ? ) Roll-up : hmmmmmmmmmmm, see previous mails ....
