Promo material?

Has anyone made up any promo material for CentOS? Something like handouts, tri-fold pamphlets, posters, buttons, etc? It would be good to have things we could take to non-techie places and events. And maybe a few of the Mom-n-Pop computers stores would let them be displayed. hi Guys, Some of us are going to be at LUGRadio Live 2007 ( http://www.lugradio.org/live/2007/index.php/Main_Page ) Bit of a last minute notice really, but anyone who wants to come along please let us know. Lance and I shall be there all day on Saturday and Sunday. I will be getting in on Friday and start with the beers in Wolverhampton. Quality posters for marketing and funds

Hi all, Before Linuxtag we discussed on centos-promo (and IRC) that we wanted nicely designed posters on glossy paper. However printing them is rather expensive and the cost of printing them gets lower on high volume. So we were thinking to create a few designs of nice posters (and slogans), have the devteam decide whether it is ok and then print them. This would require a (small) investment, but in return we would 'sell' them for a donation. And our booth would look nicer as well. You can find the discussion at: http://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos-promo/2007-May/000052.html which starts roughly around 22:23. Fact sheet: + A1 or A2 posters on glossy paper + Colourful design with nice slogan + Something someone may want to put in their room or office + Price roughly: 200 Euro for 100 A2 posters 300 Euro for 100 A1 posters 400 Euro for 1000 A1 posters ! Since we are looking at around 6 events in Europe every year (and this may increase now that we are actively looking for them) and since we want people to represent us at distant places, a good marketing kit (flyers, posters, merchandise) is important and not necessarily expensive. The ideal situation would be if we could store these items centrally and ship them off on demand (or work with printing companies that print (locally) and ship on demand, but that may be more expensive). LinuxTag preparations

Hi, Yesterday I've picked up the gear from Frederik (LCD + system) and realised that we used Fabian's IBM system for the 3D stuff. According to Frederik the video card in his small system does not have 3D capabilities ! Not sure if we can solve this. Anyone has a small system they can bring ? Furthermore, I have been looking for flyer-holders and business-card holders and after doing 6 stores found one that actually had something that could be used. It's vaguely what I had in mind. I bought three of these and 2 business card holders for the total amount of 56 Euros. I'd still like to buy the holders I have in mind (eg. that can hold more than 1 flyer) but this is good enough for LinuxTag. The business cards worked out fine. Since I was in a time-rush I could discuss the layout publically (I made them at 2h at night so that they could be printed the very next day. I hope people like them and I'm interested to hear from everyone how to improve them for next event. I printed 250 in full color for 19 Euros.
