hi,
Looks like all the ducks are lined up for us to run a CentOS Dojo at Amsterdam on the 2nd Dec 2014. I will have wiki page with venue details online by friday, and we need to then get promoting the event.
I would also like to propose running atleast one, if not two, hack/tutorial/hands on sessions during this dojo. We've had lots of feedback in the last few dojo's and it seems like one piece that comes up often is that people attending feel they didnt get enough hands on time, whereas the dojo set expectations around that.
consider this to also be a CFP :)

event page is now live at http://wiki.centos.org/Events/Dojo/Amsterdam2014 and the rsvp / registrations are running at http://www.meetup.com/CentOS-Netherlands/events/218509642/
this should also give us a good trial run on using meetup.com instead of eventbrite for this sort of an event.

I just dont have the time to run this one myself, need someone around who can help get things setup and run the day. Happy to help though.

OK. It is a challenge. It needs ??? .....
0. 3-6 months advance notice.
1. free venue for 20 to 30 (or more) attendees, soft drinks.
2. Lunch a bonus.
3. Whiteboard and/or projectors, electricity sockets.
4. tables for exhibits, attendees use.
5. good transport links = buses, trains, roads and LHR vicinity.
6. speakers/experts/nerds/interested bods.
7. media publicity
8. Beneficially a tie-in with a Centos related software event, but not essential.
9. Objective: to entertain, enlighten and enthuse fellow Centonians.
Just made me think of the airport itself and Eton College.
Over to you for your expertise and guidance.
