Hi Dag,
What's our status with respect to having a demo system at T-DOSE?

Hi Daniel, Hi Dag,
I could set up some fancy stuff on my workstation (maybe CentOS 5 + Xen + a VM of every previous CentOS release) and take that with me.
So we could show 2.1, 3, 4 and 5 - each on one side of the cube :)

Cool, that would be perfect! At LinuxTag we had a looped installation demo, but it turned out that running systems impressed more ;).

Why not mix ? a looped installation inside of a vm ? that can impressed even more ... :-)
Unfortunately it will be impossible for me to come at the T-Dose event ... but i'll be able to be present at the 2008 Fosdem event and bring some hardware resources as well (like this year) ...

That was what we had. Scripts are here: http://people.centos.org/~daniel/code/event-demos/instloop/

I haven't had any real time so far, so I'll see what I can get up and running tonight. However, as the Xen stuff and several VMs are already running, setting up the VMs should be quite simple. Just in case I get in trouble with my downloads: Could somebody please bring DVDs of CentOS 2 and 3? So if all else fails I can install the VMs on Saturday morning - the install itself is a matter of minutes.
REALLY IMPORTANT: I definitely cannot take a display with me, the lightest one I have is a 19" CRT weighting about 20kg. Would be great if someone could help out here (maybe we could use Frederik's display again? If so, please write down the required modelines)
btw. do we have any plans concerning when and where we'll meet? I heard there's a marathon in Einhoven this weekend, so transport might be an issue.

I will bring a 250GB disk with a CentOS and RPMforge mirror. So we have everything local.

I don't think I have the modelines. Maybe I can still find it on the reformatted disk :-) I also don't know if I can bring Frederik's TFT, I will see.
I will also bring another system (no clue what's inside) with a 15" TFT. Not very good, but ok as a backup system. Still needs to be backupped and reinstalled though.

That is only a concern on sunday. I am going to the social event on saturday evening. However, I am not staying in Eindhoven, but will be driving back and forth to Lommel, BE. (about 50mins drive)
