Hi again.
Seeing that I missed the Call for Papers (not my year this year): Is anyone taking care of getting a booth for CentOS at Froscon this year?
Call for projects has been opened on 18th of May ...
Cheers,
Ralph

Hopefully my talk will be accepted :)
If no one else is standing up I can help and fill out the forms. But I would need someone to fall back on.
Cheers Didi

Shouldn't your talk be listed on the Wiki-Page[1]?
btw. we already have a list of Participants for FrOSCon: - Andreas Rogge - Dag Wieers - Geerd-Dietger Hoffmann - Ralph Angenendt - Toshaan Bharvani
If anyone not already listed wants to participate: please tell me your WikiName and/or add yourself to the list of participants.
If anyone who is listed changed his mind: please tell me and/or remove yourself from the list of participants.
I will add a "Stage of Proceedings"-Section to the Wiki-Page as soon as there's something to report.
Regards, Andreas

It has nothing to do with CentOS and it hasn't been accepted till now.

Can some of them make it to LinuxTag in Berlin?

Great... I subscribed to their newsletter so I won't miss it - however, I either missed their mail or they didn't send one.
I will register CentOS for a booth unless anyone tells me not to do so until today, 16:00 CEST.
I think any speakers should immediately register themselves, because if I understood it correctly the Website states that the call for papers will end in a few days.
Regards, Andreas

I did see the call for project when submitting my CfP's , but as Andreas is listed as the contact person on the wiki, I supposed he would arrange it
Single Point of Contact: AndreasRogge
They opened on 18/05, but there is no before date?
Do we need to register separately again? Not that I see any registration form already.
Regards, Tosh.

Call for Papers is over, it ended on 23.05.2009 (that's how I found out).

Speakers and booth is a different registration.
Ralph
PS: Why don't I see Andreas' mail?

We have done already some CentOS talks in the past. I am not sure that another presentation about CentOS makes sense (or even would still be accepted).
Something related to CentOS would have been nice though, like "CentOS Infrastructure: Lessons learned for setting up a centralized build farm"
Maybe next year ?

Not really, but the Twitter-Site states an end Date of approx May 23rd (see [1]) for the Call for Papers.

For FrOSCon the Call for Papers and Call for Projects are two fundamentally different things. Projects/Booths are one thing, Talks/Speakers are another.
I will take care of the Booth, but Speakers will have to register their Talks themselves, because I cannot do that.
Not that I see any registration form already.
Go to https://pentabarf.froscon.org/submission/froscon2009/ that is the registration site for speakers.

This is not what I meant, I mean registration as in entrance registration. I remember last year I was too late to even register as a visitor. My question is do we need to also register individually for the conference?

That really depends. If you're giving a talk, then you'll be registered as a speaker. If you're there to man the booth (and don't do a talk) then I'll register you.
