Hi,
I'm trying to get a handle on what we have upcoming, and the Dojo page is a bit out of date:
http://wiki.centos.org/Events/Dojo
Other than Cologne, Germany in less than a week(?), what else is missing?
Background is that I'm want to centralize some of the organizing work that KB, Jim, JZB, et al have been doing for Dojos and other events. Part of this is to get that off their workload so they can do Other Cool Things, but mainly to make things more efficient and less stressful. In that I hope to put together some easy processes to get things such as t-shirts sponsored, printed, and shipped out. Expect some emails from me in the next weeks on logos, logo usage, shared logos with sponsors, and so forth.

I think there's a tentative dojo scheduled around Velocity, but I'm not 100% on that. KB probably has the details. None on my plate at the moment.
Best,
jzb
The space for the one on the weekend before velocity is secured. We (Etsy) are sponsoring space plus food.
We were also planning to do an OpsSchool course on Sunday to combine cool things about CentOS with bringing in more people to the operations/sysadmin industry. That part is still in the early preparation stages. On Jul 26, 2014 7:09 PM, "Joe Brockmeier" jzb@redhat.com wrote:

Do we have an idea of how many seats we'll have?
I'd like to get the wiki page organized, and all the materials about it. What else do you know already?
Thanks - Karsten

I'll have the eventbrite page up today, I believe we should have about 75 seats to fill with a mix of opschool and dojo content being served out.
The plan was to have some longer sessions, that start from 0 and build up, around the basics. eg DNS and IPv6; and have a few sessions that are shorter 30 min ones that are more intermediatory level, eg: KVM virt perf tunning and ops in a 40k CentOS install DC. Finally finishing off with a 2 hr tutorial / hands on session.
We've got a few speakers in mind, but Avleen is going to reach out to the NYC sysadmin / ops folks for suggestions as well.
We'll need to sync up and maybe sort out a pub/bar/something for the evening ( typically, only about 20 odd people come along.. )
Regards

Ah, figured out what I was thinking incorrectly, the actual content is here:
To help clean things up, I merged all the old Dojos from the Events/Dojos page to the Events page. We can now have the Events/Dojo page focused on "how to hold a Dojo" and the Events page on just listing upcoming and past events.
