Afaik, we dont have anything going on for texaslinuxfest. It would be great if that can change.
I noticed the dates are fairly close, but would you like to take point on sorting things out ( if we can, at such short notice ) ? It would be great if we can get a booth there.
Thanks for bringing it up!

Hey guys, Emailed the host, and am awaiting information. Will forward to you, and anyone else that needs it as soon as I get it. Also spoke to the hotel, and there is room available as well. Cheers, Chris

Regarding promo materials, the handful of items that were used at a couple of past promo events in Houston TX are now back with the EU folks. Unfortunately, I have nothing to forward along for decorating the event.
That said, if you plan on putting together a CentOS presence at this event, keep the list updated...

Got the information back from them today, It would require serious sponsorship to make it happen. Hotel alone is $489 for the weekend, and the booth/table area at the bronze level is $500. I have no idea what protocol on this is, I just wanted to make sure that everyone knew it was coming up. Cheers, Chris

Info about upcoming events is always appreciated. There's quite a bit of random info on the CentOS wiki regarding past events, suggestions, etc. The wiki can be a good place to mine some ideas regarding promoting the CentOS community while attending an event... $0.02 from a user...

http://wiki.centos.org/Events ( bottom ) has some places to start from, be nice to get all the stuff into one consolidated place.

Also, it might be a good idea to somehow get a calendar in place, that lists events coming up so we could try and find people in the right places.

I think a calender would be a great idea. TxLF is right around the corner now, which makes it hard to get anything together. I was surprised though, that CentOS does not have a booth etc, since it is a pretty large venue.
