CentOS comps duplicates and cleanup

CentOS comps files have duplicate entries. On fedora documentation there is example how to clean up comps file: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/How_to_use_and_edit_comps.xml_for_package_gro… comps-cleanup.xsl in comps-extras package is unfortunately not complete and removes necessary <environment> tags. There is a better version in fedora git: https://git.fedorahosted.org/cgit/comps.git/tree/ But that introduces minor disorder of the fields in the file. CentOS Atomic SIG weekly meetings: Tuesdays in #atomic at 14:30 UTC

Hi all, We're going to be holding a weekly SIG meeting for now to get things moving. Usually I'd send out a doodle and try to find a time that works for everybody - but for the first few meetings at least, we're going to try to make sure we can bring in some core CentOS folks and work around their schedule. Please join us in #atomic at 14:30 UTC on Tuesday 23 September and Tuesdays after that weekly until further notice. I'll try to post an agenda and try to keep it to 30 minutes every week. Centos 6.5 / httpd version

Hello, So in trying to configure a apache server's ssl I've run into the issue that I can't enable TLSv1.1/1.2. I get an error from apache. Looking around I found the following: https://securityblog.redhat.com/2013/12/11/tlsv1-1-and-tlsv1-2-now-availabl… Which states that httpd 2.2.23 and openssl-1.0.1 will get this working, and should be in RHEL 6.5. However I can't find any httpd newer than 2.2.15 anywhere. Anyone know what's going on? -- Nathanael

hi folks, At the paris dojo, we had a camera running - and we even got most of the sessions recorded. However, the camera outputs MXF and SIF files, which neither youtube nor vimeo will accept ( well, and at nearlyt 30 GB an hour, my 1mbps uplink from home isnt going to quite make it worthwhile uploading either ). Karanbir, I used OpenShot - http://www.openshot.org/ - to import, edit and publish my presentation on Youtube. I used it in a notebook with CentOS 6.5. Look at my article containing this video: http://opensource.com/life/14/9/open-source-workflow. Hope that helps. Pimenta

Storage SIG Meeting minutes

Hi Guys, Attending: Lalatendu Mohanty Jim Perrin Jonathan Billings Ross Smith Karanbir Singh Here are the notes from the Stora SIG Meeting from the 17th Sept: - Welcome Jonathan and Ross wanting to bring OpenAFS into the CentOS Storage SIG. OpenAFS: - kmod kabi whitelist does not always work, but that isnt a problem with the CentOS Linux buildsystem since we can do dependancy and trigger builds. the openafs kmod would just need to have a trigger on the kernel and they would then be rebuilt everytime a new kernel is done - we will need some level of testing, since kmod' build + load isnt enough of an assertion that the code will be usable - there is no real dep chain beying the gcc build tools, kernel headers and the kmod tool ( however, it wraps its own kmod tool ) - Jonathan to speak with upstream OpenAFS folks, both for their involvement in the SIG as well as licensing and redistribution permissions, if we need any - We might be able to get a few nodes running in a CI fashion to prove the builds are consumeable, and have that plumbed into the regular CentOS CI infra. - Lalatendu will attempt a srpm build for openAFS as a data point on how much work might be needed for that to be release grade GlusterFS: - NFS Ganesha support needs some deps from EPEL: longer term we want to strive for a direct relationship that works in a manner that we can consume and contribute into EPEL, for now we will just pull the deps into the StorageSIG build targets, but ensure any changes and proposed patches are upstream ( where upstream in this case is EPEL ) for those deps. - KB and Lalatendu to work on getting up a Gluster testing repo on buildlogs.centos.org and deliver a centos-release-gluster macro package to setup yum content - Lalatendu to work on a short getting started wiki page, with urls pointing to upstream docs for more info. Errata in the Repo

As the subject says, I know it's been discussed before (albeit not any great length); however, can we open discussions again about including errata in the repositories? With the more communal nature of the CentOS project and management through "Special Interest Groups" or SIGs, can we perhaps open up a packaging SIG? Nothing to big, something simply to start packaging errata into the repositories to start. Later on it can evolve, but I think that would be a great first step to tackle. Thoughts? Requests from Atomic SIG + Starting SIG meetings

Hi all, To get the Atomic SIG rolling a bit faster we'd like to start weekly meetings and ensure the community has access to the components it needs to build images. What we need at the moment: - Space on git.centos.org for Atomic materials. - Current JSON files for the CentOS POC builds. - System for building images (can we use the system that's been used currently for the proof of concepts?) - System to build packages (Koji) that aren't in EPEL or CentOS core - Place to host the repository. - A key to sign the tree. I think part of this may be collaborating with the CBS SIG? We're looking at Thursday or Friday before Noon Eastern as a meeting time. how does the minimal and netinstall ISO install media created

hi guys. I want to create a cutomed centos 6.5 LiveOS (adding some sysadimn tools), which could boot from PXE. I want to consult CentOS-6.5-x86_64-minimal.iso or CentOS-6.5-x86_64-minimal.iso , but I can NOT find how does it created. I have find a ks.cfg from: https://projects.centos.org/trac/livecd/browser/trunk/CentOS6/rhel6beta-liv… but it was 4 years ago, it too old. thanks.

Hello, So this isn't strictly a devel issue but I'm not sure what's going on. I have a CentOS 6 server that has some issues I'm trying to debug however debuginfo-install fails to work.
