Missing dependencies while rebuilding OpenStack packages

Hi Cloud SIG, With every OpenStack release (and also with CentOS 8), we have to rebuild some OpenStack packages to be installed at CERN. Those packages carry downstream patches for integration into our environment. While building those, we have observed that there are some packages that are required to build but are not provided in the testing repositories. In the past, there was a build repository in which those dependencies were available. If I recall correctly from a previous discussion, this is no longer available due to several reasons. Would it be possible to have the dependencies available in the testing repo at least to build the main OpenStack components? If this is not possible, what would be your suggestion to help us out? hi guys, I fear this or very similar - https://bugzilla.samba.org/show_bug.cgi?id=13585 - is back with new Samba from c7.8. samba-4.10.4-10.el7.x86_64 glusterfs-server-6.9-1.el7.x86_64 If anybody here is glusterfs mail list consumer then it's "Unable to create new files or folders using samba and vfs_glusterfs" This I'll say would be freaking urgent. many thanks, L.

SCL maintenance

I was trying to find a good alternative to rh-git29 on el6 and had some problems sorting it out. 1) https://wiki.centos.org/SpecialInterestGroup/SCLo/CollectionsList is out of date compared to either https://access.redhat.com/support/policy/updates/rhscl-rhel6 or https://access.redhat.com/support/policy/updates/rhscl-rhel7. 2) https://wiki.centos.org/SpecialInterestGroup/SCLo/CollectionsList is out of date compared to what yum shows. 3) https://www.softwarecollections.org lists both sclo-git{25,212} as TBD even though they are both in the repos. Is there a published lifecycle for non-rhscl packages like sclo-git212? Thanks a bunch!
