Haowei would like to join CentOS Promo SIG Group and help CentOS Promotion things in China
Hello all,
As a Centos user for more than 5 years and a zh-cn wiki contributor, I was always considering how to promote CentOS in our China. Before join to work with Timothy for Centos zh-cn wiki, I have kept contributing to Fedora which was another opensource project more than 5 years.I ever tried to promote Fedora things in our China SNS things esp for local Chinese twitter which was called Weibo. I've seen that there were thousands of people come to join and discuss on Weibo after I helped to open an official Weibo account with the help from Red Hat Inc. Now, although I seldom involved with Fedora, I still found that the quantity of people come to join Weibo of Fedora had gone beyond more than 20 thousands and kept increasing.
I here apply to you to consider to open an official Weibo for promotion of CentOS in China as Weibo could combine both sharing information&news and discussing or helping people to know more about CentOS. I could help to finish all process for opening an official and verified Weibo account and work with Timothy for maintaining the Weibo account.

Hello Karan, Thanks for your reply. I never registered Weibo for centos as I just come for discussing this with the team. Due to the issue you mention here, I may help to talk with SinaWeibo team to revert weibo name CentOS for us if I can get the team approval and authorization. I am waiting for the team idea for my application. Thank you so much.
Additionally, the most important thing is that if the team would like to approve this, I will help to open an VERIFIED account（you can see some weibo name with blue V), so that will help users know it is official。It is why I need help from the team as I can only do this (to apply and maintain verified weibo account) with the team authorization。

Hi Karan, Yes, after all things are set, I could set the account used by multipeople. Now, if the team thinks my idea is available, I can go for that and tell the team what help I will need from the team. Additionally, as I plan to open an verified account as our official account there, so I think it is OK for us to select other available weibo name as CentOS has been registered. Of course, after the team approved, I will try my best to talk with the SinaWeibo team to see if we could revert it.
