php-snmp *UPDATE*

Thank you to all the people that responded. I found a php.spec file for EL3 and modified the php.spec file that came with the php source rpm from the CentOS mirros. Built and installed the php-snmp rpm and it is working great!!! For anyone that would like to have a copy for themselves can find it at http://traffic.wonderwave.net I will leave it up for a week or two so act fast. I also posted the the original spec file, the one with snmp support and a diff file showing the difference between the two. Thanks again to all you helped me out. Dan

There is an updated ruby package for CentOS 3.3 (and added to 3.1) https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2004-441.html refers Updated files are :- ruby-1.6.8-9.EL3.2.i386.rpm ruby-devel-1.6.8-9.EL3.2.i386.rpm ruby-libs-1.6.8-9.EL3.2.i386.rpm ruby-mode-1.6.8-9.EL3.2.i386.rpm in updates/i386/RPMS/ in addition irb-1.6.8-9.EL3.2.i386.rpm has been added to the addons repository These are available at http://mirror.centos.org/3.1/ and should be on all mirrors within a few hours. To update to the latest version run 'yum update'

There is an updated spamassassin package for CentOS 3.3 (and added to 3.1) https://rhn.redhat.com/errata/RHSA-2004-451.html refers Updated file is :- spamassassin-2.55-3.2.i386.rpm in updates/i386/RPMS/ This is available at http://mirror.centos.org/3.1/ and should be on all mirrors within a few hours. To update to the latest version 'yum update spamassassin' should be sufficient.

Hi CentOS lovers, i have already sent this email to [www-devel] but still no answer. What i propose to the comunnity is the creation of a full featured forum. Mailing lists are fine, but one losses a lot of information, how-to's, advices, and so on. I currently am a network administrator / programmer /web programmer in europe and i point the lack of centralized site with information as something that is really needed. It is also an easy way to reach all the comunnity. I dont want to have the spotlight or become famous, but this is really needed. I can deply the forum (for instance, phpBB like) and host it in one of my web hosting companies. Just reply yes or no. Thks for the time of all. Best Regards Joao

Hi, I think the package arpwatch-2.1a11-7.E3.2.i386.rpm is missing in centos-3/3.1/updates. Or is it located somewhere else? The packages libpcap-0.7.2-7.E3.2.i386.rpm and tcpdump-3.7.2-7.E3.2.i386.rpm are present and they come from the same src.rpm Jan Kees

Hi Lance, sure i can do it. Lets start it even today! just send me a list of the moderators needed. The forum is for the community but obviously we MUST have moderators. The mantainers are my suggestion. and we must create the topics of the forum. i will browse some forums this afternoon and then post a basic structure of the topics. if anyone has some ideas of topics needed just reply.
